Bitcoin spent Tuesday, November 3, defending a line it cannot afford to lose quietly. Trading around $76,600–$76,900 — down roughly 2% over 24 hours — the market's largest asset sat on a cluster of support levels that analysts across several desks flagged as the make-or-break zone for November. Below it lies open air toward the low $70,000s. Above it, a wall of resistance that has rejected every recovery attempt since September. This is a levels story, not a prediction: here is the map, and what each line means.

The floor: $75,597 to $76,650. The most-watched support is the 50-week simple moving average near $75,597, which sits inside a dense cluster with the short-term holder cost basis near $76,000 and the October 30 low near $76,200. Short-term holders — buyers from recent months — are only about 2% in profit at these levels, with their cost basis almost exactly at last week's low. One desk's daily snapshot put Bitcoin on its falling channel's floor at $76,650, with a close below $76,400 turning that floor into a breakdown. The weekly picture adds the 21-week EMA at $76,874 and the 20-week SMA at $73,779 — the so-called bull-market support band that price is now testing from above. The ceiling: $78,661 to $82,000. On the upside, Bitcoin must first reclaim the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement near $78,661. Above that sits the 100-day EMA near $77,821 and the 50-day EMA near $80,287, then the $81,000–$82,000 zone where the ETF cost basis and the 50-day average meet — the level that capped the October 21 recovery attempt. A sustained move above $80,287 would flip short-term momentum back to buyers; until then, rallies into the $77,800–$80,300 zone are, in one desk's framing, the sell window for traders positioned for further downside. Why momentum looks so weak. The daily RSI sits near 34–38 across desks — approaching oversold, but not there yet, and still falling. The MACD is below zero, and one weekly analysis notes the Supertrend indicator flipped red after the Binance hack for the first time since May. Bitcoin has now fallen for four consecutive weeks, is down 7.3% in October to about $77,500 at month-end, and sits below its 20-day and 50-day averages near $81,000–$81,900. The September breakout above $81,000–$82,000 held until mid-October; the Binance hack pushed price clearly below it, and the reclaim has failed. The flow story behind the chart. Price is not falling in a vacuum. US spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $398 million on Monday alone, after $643 million on Friday — the largest

single-day withdrawal since June — with BlackRock's IBIT accounting for about $405 million of Monday's outflow. October ETF outflows totalled about $515 million, and the Fear & Greed Index has dropped to 26 (Fear) from 37. Around $366 million in crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours. Ethereum traded near $2,250–$2,260, down about 1.5–2%, with its own RSI near 35 and price under all three of its key averages; Solana clung to $92. The message from flows is consistent with the chart: institutions are not accumulating at these levels yet.The two scenarios for November. Hold $76,000 and reclaim $82,000, and the path opens toward $87,000 — October's high and the year's repeated ceiling. Lose $76,000, and the next cluster is $73,000–$74,000 (daily Fibonacci, 20-week SMA), then the Gaussian channel's lower band near $71,000, with a May-style repeat putting roughly $60,000 in play on the most bearish reading. The near-term triggers are already on the calendar: Tuesday's JOLTS data (which came in stronger than expected at 7.523 million openings), US midterm results Tuesday evening, and Friday's payrolls report — each capable of breaking the standoff in either direction. How to read this as a non-trader. Levels are not magic lines; they are places where large groups of buyers and sellers have previously acted, so they tend to act again. The useful discipline is to watch closes, not wicks: a brief dip below $76,000 that recovers by the daily close is a different event from a daily close below it. And no level map replaces risk management — position size, not prediction, is what survives a breakdown.FAQ. What is Bitcoin's key support right now? The $75,597 50-week average inside a $75,800–$76,200 cluster with short-term holder cost basis near $76,000; a daily close below $76,400 turns the channel floor into a breakdown. What resistance must Bitcoin reclaim? First $78,661 (61.8% Fibonacci), then $80,287 (50-day EMA), then the $81,000–$82,000 zone where the ETF cost basis sits. Why is momentum bearish? Daily RSI near 34–38 and falling, MACD below zero, four straight weekly declines, and a failed reclaim of the $81,000–$82,000 breakout zone. What do ETF flows show? $398M out on Monday after $643M on Friday, the largest single-day exit since June, with the Fear & Greed Index at 26 (Fear). What breaks the standoff? JOLTS data, US midterm results and Friday's payrolls report — plus any reversal in ETF flows or a sustained reclaim of $80,287.Read more on Zimbuck: how to read a Bitcoin chart — support, resistance and moving averages — here, https://zimbuck.com/blogs/649/How-to-Read-a-Bitcoin-Chart-Support-Resistance-Moving-Averages , and how crypto ETFs work here, https://zimbuck.com/blogs/584/How-Crypto-ETFs-Work-What-Bitcoin-and-Ether-ETF-Flows — plus the Zimbuck News page at https://zimbuck.com/pages/zimbucknews and discussion at https://zimbuck.com/groups/zimbuckmarketnews .
