US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $93.19 million in net outflows on Friday, November 6 — a second straight day of withdrawals — while Ether itself held near $2,240, just above the $2,200 support traders are watching. Almost the entire day's exit came from one fund: BlackRock's ETHA.

One fund did almost all of the selling

The fund-by-fund breakdown from SoSoValue data, reported by TokenPost, shows how concentrated the move was:

  • BlackRock ETHA: -$90.76 million — over 97% of the day's total outflow
  • Grayscale ETH: -$1.91 million
  • Fidelity FETH: -$1.67 million
  • BlackRock ETHB (staked ETH fund): +$1.15 million — the only fund to take money in
  • The remaining seven products: zero net flow

The day followed $99.97 million of outflows on November 5, taking the two-day total to $193.16 million. Total trading volume across the spot Ether ETFs reached $728.85 million on November 6, with ETHA alone accounting for $563.53 million of it.

The bigger picture: still a large, young market

Daily outflows make headlines, but the stock of money in these products remains substantial. As of November 6:

  • Total net assets: $12.84 billion, equal to about 4.71% of Ethereum's market capitalisation
  • Cumulative net inflows since launch: $11.92 billion
  • ETHA's own lifetime net inflow: $11.52 billion, with $6.55 billion in net assets — still by far the largest Ether fund

In other words, two days of withdrawals of about $193 million amount to roughly 1.6% of the cumulative money these funds have taken in since launch. That is a cooling of institutional demand, not an exit from the asset class — the same pattern Bitcoin's ETFs showed this week on a larger scale.

What it means for the ETH price

Ether closed November 6 at $2,238.58, almost unchanged on the day, after a 7.67% fall on November 5 from the November 4 close of $2,424.57. On November 7 it traded near $2,245. Analysts flag immediate support near $2,200, with $2,000 below it, and the recent rejection zone near $2,700 above.

The flow data and the price are telling slightly different stories, and both deserve respect. ETF redemptions are a settlement figure published after the fact — they describe what investors did yesterday, not what they will do tomorrow — and a single fund dominating the print means a small number of large holders rebalancing can move the headline number. At the same time, two consecutive outflow days after a sharp price drop is exactly what cautious institutional positioning looks like, and it is why the $2,200 level matters: it is where dip-buyers, including the on-chain whales who have been adding ETH this week, have so far been willing to step in.

Which fund saw the biggest outflow? BlackRock's ETHA, with $90.76 million — more than 97% of the day's total. BlackRock's staked fund ETHB was the only product with an inflow, at $1.15 million.

How big are Ether ETFs overall? $12.84 billion in net assets (about 4.71% of Ethereum's market cap) and $11.92 billion in cumulative net inflows since launch.

Does an ETF outflow day mean ETH will fall? No. Flows are backward-looking settlement data and can be dominated by a few large holders. They signal cooling short-term institutional demand; price still depends on spot buying and selling.
