🚨 BREAKING: The CFTC has ordered prediction markets to drop state geo-blocks within 30 days — or explain why they can't.

Exchanges like Kalshi and Polymarket must open access to traders in every US state, the regulator says, because blocking users by location breaks federal impartial-access rules. But courts in Michigan, Nevada and other states have ordered those very same blocks — putting the industry between a federal order and court injunctions, with a December 5 deadline looming.

What Is the Consumer Price Index (CPI)? How Inflation Is Measured — and Why Markets Move on It
The Consumer Price Index for September 2026 came in at 336.940, up 3.7% from a year earlier, with core CPI — the version that strips out food and energy — up 2.6%. That single release moved stocks, bonds, gold and Bitcoin within minutes, and it will help set the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment of 3.6% for 2027. Yet most people who hear "CPI" have only a vague idea what is...

Injective has quietly assembled the most regulated tokenization stack of any Layer-1 blockchain — and this week the pieces clicked into place in public. Its affiliate, Injective Institutional Services, is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a transfer agent, making Injective the first Layer-1 blockchain ecosystem with that designation. Days later, Canary...

What Is a Smart Contract? How Smart Contracts Work, Explained for Beginners
A smart contract is a self-executing program stored on a blockchain that automatically carries out the terms of an agreement when its conditions are met — no bank, no lawyer and no middleman needed to enforce it. Once deployed, the code runs exactly as written, every time, for anyone who interacts with it. If that sounds abstract, think of a vending machine. You put in the right coins,...

What Is a Stock Split? How Splits and Reverse Splits Work — and What They Mean for Your Shares
Intro In June 2024, Nvidia did something that made headlines around the world: it split its stock 10-for-1. One share became ten, the price fell to a tenth, and — here is the part most headlines skipped — every shareholder was worth exactly the same as the day before. Stock splits are one of the most misunderstood events in investing. They look dramatic, they move prices on the day,...

Amdocs Crashes 44% as T-Mobile Dispute Forces a Brutal Fiscal 2027 Warning

What Is a P/E Ratio? How to Value a Stock Like an Analyst
Ask an analyst whether a stock is cheap or expensive and the first number they reach for is almost always the same: the price-to-earnings ratio, or P/E. It is the single most used valuation tool in stock markets, it takes ten seconds to calculate, and it is misunderstood almost as often as it is used. The formula is simple: P/E = share price ÷ earnings per share (EPS). If a stock trades...
