  • BREAKING: USDC just overtook USDT in euro stablecoin trading 🇪🇺 Circle's USDC now holds 56% of stablecoin trading against the euro — up from just 10% in January 2024, according to new Kaiko data. USDC's euro order books are also about 40% deeper than USDT's. The shift follows Europe's MiCA rules, which pushed exchanges to restrict USDT for European customers. And the US could be next: the OCC's GENIUS Act rules take effect in January 2027. Tether still leads globally, with supply roughly 2.5x USDC's — but in Europe, the crown has changed hands. • Why Crypto Fell Again on Thursday: Tech Earnings, a Divided Fed, and a PCE Test Ahead
Crypto did not fall on Thursday because of one crypto story. It fell because three non-crypto stories arrived at once: disappointing tech earnings in Asia and the United States, a Federal Reserve that held rates but could not agree on what comes next, and an inflation report still to come that could decide the argument. Bitcoin slipped back toward $80,000, ether fell harder, and the smallest,...

  • PCE Came In Hot — and Bitcoin Still Held $80,000: What the Inflation Print Means for a December Hike
Thursday's inflation report was supposed to settle the argument inside the Federal Reserve. It did not — and that is exactly why Bitcoin's ability to hold $80,000 matters. The September PCE price index, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge, rose 0.5% on the month and 3.6% from a year earlier, up from 3.4% in August. Core PCE, which strips out food and energy, rose 0.3% on the month and...

  • Bitcoin ETFs Just Flipped October Green — While Ether Funds Bled for a Third Straight Day

The Bitcoin buying was enough to flip October's monthly Bitcoin ETF tally back into...
