Crypto exchanges are moving fast after a suspected theft of more than $133 million from an unidentified European entity. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT flagged fresh withdrawals on Tuesday, on top of $106 million reported on Monday.
Kraken says it has restricted the linked accounts and is working with law enforcement, and Crypto.com has also moved to stop the funds. Nearly $63 million in stablecoins was converted into more than 27,553 Ether in about four hours.
The crackdown comes just days after the $6.3 billion Binance hack — a reminder that exchange security is under the spotlight like never before.
