Japan's Nikkei entered a bear market, down 20% from its June peak, and South Korea's KOSPI triggered a circuit-breaker halt after an 8%+ plunge. The Nasdaq fell 5.52% on Thursday, while Brent crude rebounded 3.9% to $98.29 and gold eased 1.1% to $4,043.
All eyes now turn to today's US jobs report at 8:30 AM ET.
