  • What Is a Dividend? How Dividend Stocks Work — Yield, Payout Ratio and the Ex-Dividend Date Explained
A dividend is a cash payment a company sends to its shareholders out of its profits — if a stock trades at $50 and pays $2 a year, its dividend yield is 4.0%. Dividends are the income leg of owning shares, separate from any rise or fall in the price, and learning how they work is essential stock-market basics for every beginner. This guide explains dividend yield, the payout ratio, the...

  • What Is the Consumer Price Index (CPI)? How Inflation Is Measured — and Why Markets Move on It
The Consumer Price Index for September 2026 came in at 336.940, up 3.7% from a year earlier, with core CPI — the version that strips out food and energy — up 2.6%. That single release moved stocks, bonds, gold and Bitcoin within minutes, and it will help set the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment of 3.6% for 2027. Yet most people who hear "CPI" have only a vague idea what is...

  • What Is Dollar-Cost Averaging? How DCA Works in Crypto — and What the Research Says
Dollar-cost averaging means investing the same fixed amount on a regular schedule — every week or every month — no matter what the price is doing. When the price falls, your money buys more. When it rises, it buys less. And here is the twist the research insists on: investing a lump sum all at once has beaten DCA about two times out of three historically — yet DCA remains the...

  • 🚨 BREAKING: Greece has passed its first dedicated crypto tax law. From January 1, 2027, individual investors will pay 10% tax on annual crypto gains above €500. Income from staking, crypto lending and DeFi liquidity faces a separate 15% levy. Small gains under €500 stay exempt, and past gains can be declared penalty-free for 12 months. Athens says crypto-to-crypto swaps stay tax-free — but parliament's own advisers warn the wording could still catch them. #Greece #CryptoTax #DeFi #CryptoNews #Bitcoin #Crypto Join the conversation on Zimbuck — the finance social platform for traders & investors: https://zimbuck.com

  • Greece Passes a 10% Crypto Tax and a 15% Levy on Staking and DeFi Income
Greece has passed its first comprehensive crypto tax law. On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the Greek parliament approved a framework that taxes annual cryptocurrency capital gains at 10% and income from staking, lending and decentralised finance (DeFi) at 15%, with the rules taking effect on January 1, 2027. For years Greek crypto holders lived in a grey area with no clear rules; that uncertainty...

  • What Is a Stock Split? How Splits and Reverse Splits Work — and What They Mean for Your Shares
Intro In June 2024, Nvidia did something that made headlines around the world: it split its stock 10-for-1. One share became ten, the price fell to a tenth, and — here is the part most headlines skipped — every shareholder was worth exactly the same as the day before. Stock splits are one of the most misunderstood events in investing. They look dramatic, they move prices on the day,...

  • How to Spot a Fake NFT: Copycat Collections, Wash Trading and the Checks Before You Buy
Intro A blockchain records ownership transparently — but it does not confirm whether the person who minted an NFT actually owns the underlying content. That gap is where fake NFTs live, and by 2026 they are no longer a rare edge case: they are a routine risk every buyer needs to understand before spending money. A fake NFT is a token created without authorisation, usually copying existing...

  • What Is Yield Farming? How DeFi Yields Actually Work — and the Real Risks
Intro Yield farming is the part of DeFi that sounds too good to be true — and sometimes it is. In plain terms, yield farming means putting your crypto to work in decentralised finance protocols to earn a return: lending it out, providing liquidity for traders, or staking it in a pool. The yields can look spectacular on screen. The risks are real, and they are the part most beginners...

  • 🇫🇷 FRANCE DROPS CRYPTO TAX IN 458–0 VOTE

France's National Assembly has rejected the revenue section of its 2027 budget — wiping out three crypto measures in one vote:
    • Tax on crypto-to-stablecoin swaps — dropped
    • Mandatory disclosure of self-custodied holdings over €100,000 — dropped
    • Higher penalties for crypto platforms — dropped

The vote was 458–0, with two abstentions. The Senate takes up the bill from Nov 20, so the measures could still return — but for now, French crypto holders keep the current rules.

  • What Is GDP? How Growth Is Measured and Why Markets Move on It
Every few weeks, a single number moves trillions of dollars in a morning. Gross Domestic Product — GDP — is the most-watched scorecard of a country's economy, and when the US reported 3.4% annualised growth for the third quarter of 2026, traders, central bankers and fund managers all repriced their bets within minutes. If you trade stocks, forex or crypto, GDP is one of the few...

  • 🇬🇷 Greece just approved its first-ever crypto tax framework.

Parliament voted on Nov 5 to levy a 10% capital gains tax on crypto — down from the 15% originally proposed. The first €500 (~$563) of annual net gains is tax-free, and crypto-to-crypto swaps won't trigger tax. The new rules apply from January 1, 2027.

Greece joins a growing list of EU states bringing crypto fully into the tax net.

  • 🇰🇷 South Korea has delayed its crypto gains tax for a FOURTH time — now set to start in January 2029 instead of January 2027.

Finance Minister Lee Hyoung Il announced the two-year delay on Thursday, citing gaps in overseas transaction reporting and the wait for US tax-information exchange, which begins in 2029.

Under the plan, annual crypto gains above 2.5 million won (about $1,860) would be taxed at 22%, and investors get a three-year loss carryforward. The tax was first proposed in 2020 and was originally due in 2022.
