🔧 The XRP Ledger has activated a fix for a bug that let an account authorized only to destroy an issuer's tokens also create new ones under certain conditions.
The update, called fixCleanup3_4_0, went live Wednesday at 14:52 UTC at ledger 108,112,129. The flaw sat in the network's permission delegation system — it affected assets issued on the ledger, including stablecoins, rather than XRP itself. No exploitation has been publicly confirmed.
The release also includes accounting corrections for the planned lending system and Single Asset Vaults. The amendment needed support from over 80% of trusted validators for 14 straight days before activation.
