    Base just went 10x faster. ⚡

    Coinbase's Layer 2 network Base has activated its Denim upgrade on mainnet — now producing a full block every 200 milliseconds, or 5 blocks per second, up from one block every 2 seconds.

    The upgrade retires Flashblocks, adds millisecond-precision timestamps (BaseTime) and new B20 token transfer controls. It's Base's fourth mainnet upgrade since its 2023 launch.
